My Approach
I'm Samantha Ortiz, a trauma-informed yoga teacher and wellness educator passionate about creating spaces where people can slow down, reconnect with themselves, and explore wellness on their own terms.
My approach to yoga centers on choice, accessibility, and invitational language. Rather than focusing on achieving a particular pose or performance, I encourage students to develop self-awareness, honor their individual needs, and find a practice that feels supportive to them.
I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training with The Sacred Movement Academy and have continued to deepen my studies in Yin Yoga, restorative practices, and trauma-informed teaching.
Through classes, workshops, and guided practices, I hope to make yoga feel more approachable and create opportunities for people to experience rest, reflection, and connection both on and off the mat.

A slow, mindful practice that invites you to explore stillness, sensation, and self-awareness. Through longer-held postures and supportive variations, Yin Yoga offers space to slow down, listen inward, and move at your own pace.
My approach emphasizes choice and curiosity, encouraging you to find the variations that feel appropriate for your body and your experience.
-
A gentle, breath-led movement practice connecting accessible yoga postures through mindful transitions. This class offers space to explore movement, cultivate body awareness, and find a rhythm that feels right for you without pressure to perform or achieve a particular shape.
Whether you're returning to your practice or simply looking for a more mindful approach to movement, you're invited to move at your own pace.

Metta, or loving-kindness meditation, is a contemplative practice centered on cultivating kindness, warmth, and compassion toward ourselves and others.
Through guided reflection and the gentle repetition of compassionate phrases, these practices invite you to nurture a more supportive relationship with yourself and extend that care outward.
There is no perfect way to meditate. You're welcome to engage with the practice in whatever way feels comfortable for you.

Intentional yoga and wellness experiences for studios, community gatherings, retreats, and organizations. These offerings bring together mindful movement, self-compassion, and opportunities for reflection and connection.
Each experience can be shaped around the needs and interests of the group, with an emphasis on accessibility, choice, and creating a welcoming environment.
